Received a law degree with honors, from the Law School of the Argentine Catholic University in 1997. He obtained a degree in Administrative Law and Economic Regulation at the Argentine Catholic University, specializing in Administrative and Economic Law in 2003.
Mr. Sanz is part of the firm’s Administrative & Regulatory Law department. He has developed an intensive professional career in the private sector, representing and counselling both local and foreign companies on regulated industries and infrastructure projects (ports, airports, freight railways, power generation, transmission and distribution, provision of water and sewerage services, natural gas, distribution of liquid gas, media, cable television and telecommunications, banks and financial institutions, among others). In addition, he has advised international institutions in relation to administrative and regulatory issues, particularly concerning hydrocarbon transportation fees.
As part of his practice, he has also advised clients on compliance and anti-corruption issues, and has been involved in internal investigations in these matters. Mr. Sanz has been also actively involved in the development of anti-corruption legislation drafts, particularly the Criminal Liability of Legal Entities for Offenses Related to Corruption Bill.
Mr. Sanz has also developed extensive litigation experience in procedures before local courts as well as in arbitration procedures under ICSID, CCI and LCIA regulations in different conflicts, acting as advisor and collaborating with the representation of companies and investors locally and abroad.
Mr. Sanz joined the public law practice of the firm in 2005, counselling local and international clients and has provided advice in different practice areas in connection with administrative and regulatory law in general.
